How One Soul Purpose Provides Shoes to Schools

OneSolePurpose is a volunteer run, local non-profit organization which has focused on providing new shoes for kids attending area Public Title I Elementary Schools. Title I Schools are schools with a high number or high percentage of low-income students attending.

Since its inception in 2010, OneSolePurpose has given away over 20,000 pairs of new shoes to kids in the local area. OneSolePurpose does this by partnering with local churches, businesses, and individuals who have big hearts, generous character, and a love for kids. Partners donate not only money but time, energy and love to help make what they do possible.

Each fall, OneSolePurpose determines the number of schools we can cover based on the funds donated and raised. When a school is provided with new shoes, every student gets a new pair. Volunteers/partners go into each school receiving shoes and size every kid individually and lets them choose the color of shoes they want.

Shoes are then ordered from Shoe Carnival, a huge supporter of the organization. Once the shoes arrive, volunteers sort them by school, classroom and student, and deliver them. A big Shoe Giveaway day is planned where volunteers spend time with each kid placing new socks and their new shoes on their feet.

It’s a wonderful sight to see 300 kids all excited wearing their new shoes!
OneSolePurpose would love to have you be a part of what we do. Please contact us at info@onesolepurpose.com or visit www.onesolepurpose.com to find out more.
