On the other hand, if you eat a substitute for what you really want, you might eat a lot more food and still not feel satisfied. You can never have enough of what you really don’t want. The next time you’re craving something, try an experiment, have the exact food you’re craving, and as you eat it, savor it. You might worry that enjoying your food will lead you to bad eating habits, but research has found the opposite is true.
