Metro Woman Magazine Receives 2018 Clarion Award

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Social Status Marketing, a Springfield-based digital marketing company, announced today that its resource magazine, Metro Woman Magazine, was named recipient of the Clarion Award for Magazine Series or Special Section, External Publication – Circulation of 100,000 or less for the entry “Metro Woman Magazine – Rebrand and Growth Strategy.”

The Clarion Awards are 46 years strong and annually recognize excellence in communications fields, symbolizing excellence in clear, concise communications, honoring multiple communications disciplines which include special publications and magazines.

“As a long-time member of the Association for Women in Communications, I am proud to receive this honor,” said Angela Frizell, owner and publisher of Metro Woman Magazine. “I feel this award not only recognizes the updated aesthetics and direction of the magazine, but it also serves as testament to the profession of print communications and the commitment of women-focused businesses in the 417 area.”

The 2018 competition attracted hundreds of submissions from 20 states and two countries. Metro Woman Magazine’s entry was chosen as the top of its field and will be recognized at the 2019 National Conference.
